What phones are compatible with the Caltex app?

Any device running on Apple iOS 10/Android 5.1.1 or later.

Where can I download the CaltexGO app?

CaltexGO is available on Apple and Google Play App stores

Do I need to register?

Yes. You need to register to create a CaltexGO account to enjoy the mobile app features. If you have yet to do so, follow the on-screen prompts.

Can I use the CaltexGO app to purchase any fuel type?

Yes. You can purchase both Petrol and Diesel.

Can I use the CaltexGO app to purchase StarMart convenience store products?

No. CaltexGO is currently limited to fuel purchases.

My phone has no signal. What should I do?

A 3G or better signal is required to use the mobile payment service. Remember to check that your GPS is connected, or ‘Location Services’ has been enabled.

If you’re still having trouble with your service signal, you can always pop into the shop and pay for fuel, as usual. 

Why do I need to register my email for Mobile Pay?

An electronic receipt for all CaltexGO transactions will be delivered to your registered email address.

Will I receive an email confirmation?

Yes. You are required to confirm your email address before using CaltexGO for mobile payment.

What is the SMS authorization code?

Caltex takes user security seriously, which is why you are sent a one-time security code by SMS to validate credit card selection when you first set up your preferred payment card.

What if I don’t receive my SMS authorization code?

You can request to have another authorization SMS sent. If you still do not receive the SMS after a few minutes, please contact your issuing bank for clarification.

There’s an error adding a payment method

Try removing the credit card details from the app and adding it again, double-checking to ensure all required information has been entered correctly.

If you continue to receive a payment error, contact your bank to verify that your payment account is active and verified internationally.

Where is my NTUC Link Card number?

LINK CARD Membership card: Key in the 16 digits on the front of your membership card

NTUC LINK CARD Membership card: Key in the 16 digits on the back of your membership card

NEBO CARD Membership card: Key in the 16 digits on the back of your membership card

NTUC LINK VISA Membership card with payment function: VISA card does not contain your Link number on the card. You can seek help from a Link merchant, such as your neighborhood Caltex cashier to generate a Link Card balance statement which includes your Link Card number.

What payment cards do you accept?

  • Credit and debit card payments: Visa and MasterCard.
  • Caltex StarCard (Personal)
  • GrabPay

How many credit cards can I register?

You can register a maximum of 2 credit cards.

Can I use my StarCard with CaltexGO?

Yes. But only StarCard (Personal) is currently accepted by CaltexGO. For Fleet card customers, you may continue to use StarCard in-store.

Can I use my StarCash gift card with CaltexGO?

Not yet. Only Visa, MasterCard payment cards and StarCard (Personal) are currently accepted by CaltexGO. You are welcome to go in-store to redeem your StarCash gift card.

How do I select my Caltex station location?

Enable your GPS or “Location Services ” in your phone’s settings to help identity your current Caltex station location. You can then use CaltexGO’s Mobile Pay for fuel payment.

How do I change my credit card?

Log in to your app account, and tap on ‘Payment’. You may delete, add or update your credit card information.

Does Caltex view my credit card details?

Caltex does not see or store the details of your nominated payment cards. Such details are collected, stored and processed by Caltex's payment service provider, which processes payments via CaltexGO.

Where can I use CaltexGO?

CaltexGO mobile payments are accepted across all Caltex service stations in Singapore.

How do I enjoy discount or promotion using CaltexGO?

Download the CaltexGO app and use the “Mobile Pay” option to pay for fuel. If a discount is applicable, it will be automatically applied and displayed on the payment confirmation screen once you have entered the pump number.

Can I use my Safra or Cabbie 21 card with CaltexGO?

Not yet. You can continue to use your Safra and Cabbie 21 cards in-store.

How do I check or redeem my Linkpoints?

After you have completed refuelling, enter the right pump number and tap "Confirm" to continue. Redeem your Linkpoints for fuel by sliding the slider in the Loyalty Redemption Box.

How long does it take to update my Linkpoints balance?

Updates will be processed within 48 hours of your transaction.

What if I choose the wrong pump? Can I cancel the transaction?

If you have not paid for the transaction, tap the "Back" button to reselect the correct pump number. If issues persist, please proceed to the cashier in-store to settle the transaction in person.

How long will I have to complete a CaltexGO transaction?

You have 90-seconds to complete a Mobile Pay transaction before it is time-out. If you need more time, please proceed to the cashier in-store to complete the transaction.

Can I get a paper receipt in-store?

No. You will receive a digital receipt in the CaltexGO app, as well as an electronic receipt in the form of a tax invoice via your registered email address.

Can I refuel my car and purchase items from StarMart in one CaltexGO transaction?

No. CaltexGO’s Mobile Pay is limited to fuel purchases.

How do I view my transaction receipts?

Your past transaction receipts can be viewed at any time via the CaltexGO app. To view a past transaction, log in to your app account and select ‘Transactions'. Your receipts will be organized by date, with your most recent transaction at the top of the list. Tap each transaction to display details.

For a tax invoice receipt, refer to your registered email account. Remember to check your junk folder for <receipt@caltexgo.com> if you cannot find them.

Where do I find the fuel price?

Fuel prices are displayed at each pump island dispenser.

I have selected the wrong pump and paid for someone else’s petrol. Can I get a refund?

In this unlikely event, you will still be required to pay for any fuel dispensed into your vehicle in-store prior to leaving the Caltex station. If this occurs, please seek help from Caltex at SGsupport@caltexgo.com

My payment has been declined and fuel has been dispensed. What do I do?

As fuel has been dispensed you are liable for payment. Please proceed in-store to settle the payment.

Caltex reserves the right to refer the matter to the local police authority in the event transactions carried out via the CaltexGO account appear suspicious or indicates numerous declined transactions.

Once I have fueled my vehicle, how do I know if the transaction is complete?

A ‘Pay Now ’ screen will prompt you to verify your transaction before you proceed to pay. You will see a ‘Successful ’ screen to confirm payment has been made. You may only leave the site once a “Payment Received ” notification is displayed.

Why can’t I use my mobile phone on the forecourt?

Mobile phone use remains a source of distraction, with increased personal safety risks from unpredictable vehicular traffic on the forecourt. For your safety, customers must be mindful of their surroundings and focus on the refueling task at hand. As such, the CaltexGO app is only permitted inside an enclosed stationary vehicle or when inside the convenience store.

Can I use my phone at a petrol station?

There is no change to the safety requirements at the service station. After you have switched off your vehicle’s engine, you can use your phone when you’re inside an enclosed stationary vehicle or when you are inside the convenience store. It is also recommended that your phone be disconnected from any related accessories, such as a power bank or phone charger, while using the CaltexGO app.

How can I use the app if I can’t use my phone at the pump?

It is safe to use a mobile phone from inside your enclosed car on a forecourt, but not outside the vehicle (unless you are inside the convenience store). This helps eliminate the risk of your phone being a source of distraction on a busy forecourt.

What should I do with my phone while refueling?

For safety, please keep your phone in the vehicle when you're filling up. To avoid the risk of your phone being a source of distraction, DO NOT USE your phone outside your vehicle while on the forecourt.

Can anyone use the CaltexGO app?

For safety reasons, the CaltexGO app and mobile phones can only be used inside an enclosed stationary vehicle or inside the convenience store. Motorcyclists who are keen to experience Mobile Pay may only proceed with CaltexGO fuel transactions in-store.

Why can’t I use the CaltexGO app for my motorbike?

For safety reasons, motorcyclists are unable to use mobile phones on motorbikes. Phones can only be used inside an enclosed vehicle or inside the convenience store.

I drive a convertible. Can I pay inside my vehicle if it’s not “enclosed”?

We require your roof to be up prior to using the mobile phone. Alternatively, you may proceed to the convenience store.

How much data does CaltexGO app use?

Like most apps, CaltexGO uses your smartphone’s location services and internet data. Costs vary depending on your network provider and mobile phone plan. Contact your mobile service provider for more information.

Are you tracking me?

CaltexGO only uses the location services in your mobile’s native operating system when the app is running to determine your Mobile Pay location. The app will not be able to determine your location if it is not open.

How will the mobile/contactless payment solution protect data privacy? Are my personal and financial details secure?

Caltex uses a variety of security technologies and procedures for storing and securing personal information and complies with applicable data privacy regulations.

We work with our service providers and vendors (such as payment processers and fraud prevention services) to ensure that each of them maintains appropriate physical, technical and infrastructural security measures to secure your personal data.

For example, an SMS verification code, as well as an email confirmation link, is sent to the user when first setting up the CaltexGO Mobile Pay account, for added security. Users are advised to assign a security passcode to protect your personal data on your phone.

If my phone cuts out or ‘dies’, can I log into my CaltexGO app account from another person’s device to pay for the fuel?

Yes, you can log in to your CaltexGO account from another device provided the transaction is still available. Alternatively, you can go in-store to make a payment.

What do I do if my phone is stolen or if there is a risk of unauthorized transactions e.g. someone has got my details?

You must immediately notify the CaltexGO Support Team via SGsupport@caltexgo.com to request CaltexGO account cancellation or temporary suspension.

There is an unauthorized transaction on my CaltexGO app. Do I need to pay?

Please contact your bank immediately if you suspect your card has been used in an unauthorized manner.

You must also contact CaltexGO Support Team immediately via SGsupport@caltexgo.com to report this issue. Otherwise, you will have to bear the cost of any transactions made prior to the notification.

How do I terminate my CaltexGO account?

Please email the CaltexGO Support Team via SGsupport@caltexgo.com

How do I apply to be a Star Driver on the Caltex Star Driver Program?

Simply download the CaltexGO app from App Store or Google Play Store . Locate the drop-down menu and apply via the Star Driver link.

Is there a minimum spend criteria to be eligible for the discount?

If you are a registered Star Driver, there is no minimum spend criteria as long as you make a Techron fuel purchase at Caltex with your CaltexGO app. 

Can I earn Linkpoints through the Caltex Star Driver Program?

You can earn 2 Linkpoints with every litre of Techron® fuel purchased at Caltex with your CaltexGO app. If you are paying via a Credit/ Debit Card, you will need to register your loyalty (Link) Card on the CaltexGO app. If you are paying via cash via the CaltexGO app, present your physical Link Card to the cashier prior to payment. 

Will my Caltex Star Driver account expire?

Your Caltex Star Driver account will be valid as long as you have a valid Private Hire Car Driver’s Vocational Licence (PDVL) / Taxi Driver Vocational Licence (TDVL).   

Will I enjoy the same benefits if I make payment indoors with the Star Driver Program?

Yes. the benefit will apply to all Star Drivers successfully registered on the CaltexGO app. 

What is the difference between the Cabbie 21 Program and the Star Driver Program?

The Star Driver Program is an improved Program with greater benefits to bring you an even easier and simpler way to pay for fuel within your fingertips on the CaltexGO app.

How does it work?

Whenever you purchase Techron® fuel via CaltexGO at any Caltex service station in Singapore you earn Linkpoints. Once you've accumulated enough points, you may redeem them instantly for fuel upon check out in the payment summary screen of the CaltexGO app. 100 Linkpoints = $1 

For redemption of Linkpoints via CaltexGO, points will be redeemed based on the gross fuel purchase amount followed by card promotions or discounts (if any).

How do I earn Linkpoints on CaltexGO?

Every litre of Techron® fuel you pump at Caltex earns you 2 Linkpoints. Remember to onboard your Link Card on the drop down menu under 'Loyalty' in the CaltexGO app to earn your Linkpoints for your fuel purchase.

How do I redeem my Linkpoints for fuel on CaltexGO?

After fuelling your vehicle,  proceed to the payment summary screen. You will be given an option to redeem your existing Linkpoints for your fuel purchase. Simply move the slider in the redemption box to choose how many Linkpoints you'd like to redeem for your fuel purchase. Click the 'Pay Now' button once you've chosen your desired redemption amount.

How can I view Linkpoints balance?

You may log in to your online account  to view your Linkpoints balance and transactions. If you do not have a Link online account, register for one here .

I only see ‘accumulation only’ in the redemption box

The 'accumulation only' box shows up when you do not have sufficient Linkpoints for redemption. Continue fueling up to earn more Linkpoints.

Does my StarCard registration apply to CaltexGO?

If you’re a new CaltexGO user, you need to register as a CaltexGO customer, before adding your StarCard as one of the payment methods.

What is the OTP for?

Caltex takes user security seriously, which is why a
one-time password will be sent via email to your email address recorded at your StarCard account when you first set up StarCard as preferred payment method.

What if I don’t receive my OTP?

You can request to have another one-time password sent to
your StarCard email address. If you still do not receive the OTP after a few minutes, please contact StarCard Customer Support at 1800 333 0222 (Monday-Friday,
from 9am to 5pm) for clarification.

I can't seem to link my StarCard account to CaltexGO?

For issues linking your StarCard to your CaltexGO account, please call StarCard Customer Support at 1800 333 0222 (Monday-Friday, from 9am to 5pm).

How many StarCards (Personal) can I add to my CaltexGO account?

You can add a maximum of 5 StarCards (Personal) to the
CaltexGO account.

I’m a fleet driver, can I use my StarCard with CaltexGO?

Currently CaltexGO only accepts StarCard (Personal). For Fleet card customers, you may continue to use StarCard in-store or at the Outdoor Payment Terminal.

Do I get the same discount as physical card when I pay with CaltexGO?

The discount price you receive on your physical fuel card is what you will get using the same card on CaltexGO. Discount will be reflected in the StarCard monthly statement, same as before.

Do I get additional discounts when I pay with CaltexGO?

Any other on-going promotions, discounts, offers, vouchers,
rebates or privileges on CaltexGO cannot be used in conjunction with StarCard [unless otherwise stated].

Where can I see the StarCard transactions when I pay with CaltexGO?

Transactions made using CaltexGo can be viewed at any time via the CaltexGO app. To view past transactions, log in to your CaltexGO app and
select ‘Transactions'.

You will continue to receive StarCard monthly statements which
will consist of your transaction details.

Can I still get loyalty points if I use the CaltexGO?

Connect your Link card on CaltexGO and you can automatically earn Linkpoints with every fuel purchase when you use StarCard (Personal) to pay.

Is there a fuel spend or product limit with CaltexGO?

Fuel volume, spend or product are predetermined based on your StarCard account. This will be the same as if you were to pay in-store or at the Outdoor Payment Terminal.

Will CaltexGO still capture drivers’ odometer readings?

Similar to how your physical StarCard is configured, some
drivers may be prompted to enter information into the odometer field on the
CaltexGO app as part of a transaction authorisation request, prior to
finalising a fuel purchase.

An error has occurred during payment and fuel has been dispensed. What do I do?

As fuel has been dispensed you are liable for payment.
Please use another payment method (via the “Change” function) at the pump number selection screen or proceed in-store to settle the payment.

What do I do when my physical fuel card expires and I receive a renewed card?

On the CaltexGO app, you can enter the new information of
the renewed card, allowing you to continue using CaltexGO with StarCard.

What if my cards are lost or stolen?

Notify StarCard Customer Support immediately via phone at 1800 333 0222 (Monday-Friday, from 9am to 5pm) or email StarCard@chevron.com.

How do I apply to enjoy the Grab Discount Program?

Simply download the CaltexGO app from App Store or Google Play Store . Locate the drop-down menu and apply via the Partner's Card link.

Can I earn Linkpoints through the Grab Discount Program?

Usage of the Grab Discount Program does not entitle the user to Linkpoints.

Will I enjoy the same benefits if I make payment indoors with the Grab Discount Program?

Yes. the benefit will apply to all drivers successfully registered on the CaltexGO app.

I am not eligible for this benefit, can I opt-in?

This is an exclusive programme and unfortunately, we will not be able to provide appeals.Kindly note that driver-partners who are currently suspended will not be eligible for this discount until further notice.

I'm not sure if my fleet partner is eligible for this benefit, what do I need to do?

If your fleet partner is one of Grab Recommended Fleet Partners, they will be contacting you soon. If not, please reach out to them for more details.

How do I know if I am eligible for this Grab Discount Program?

Please contact Grab via the Grab Driver App Help Centre under the article "I cannot redeem GrabBenefit".

Do I get additional discounts when I pay with CaltexGO?
