Caltex Singapore Social Media Contest ("Contest") Terms and Conditions

Organizer: 

The Contests are organized by Chevron Singapore Pte. Ltd. (“Chevron”). Joining and participation in the Contests are subject to the terms and conditions set out herein and as may be revised by Chevron from time to time at its sole discretion.

 

Availability and Eligibility:

The Contests will be held monthly from 1st Jan 2023 to 31st December 2023 (“Promotion Period”) with no minimum spend required to participate in the Contests on Caltex social media pages.

The Contests are open to all customers and members of the public (“Participant”).  Each person is entitled to register once as a Participant.

 

Mechanics:

Contest mechanics (“Mechanics”) and prizes (“Prizes”) will be listed monthly on the respective social media post.Each Contest will last 5 days.

Each Contest’s end date will be listed on the respective social media post.

To be eligible for a Prize, Participants must submit the following information to Chevron or Chevron’s authorized agents within 3 days of the Contest end date:

  1. Full Name
  2. Email address
  3. Contact Number

Participant will be automatically disqualified from the Contest (i) if a Participant refuses to disclose their Full Name, email address and phone number, and/or (ii) if a Participant is uncontactable. 

 

Other Terms and Conditions:

The Contests are not valid with other campaigns, offers, discounts, rebates, vouchers, privileges, or promotions.

Chevron will be collecting personal data of Participants for purposes of verifying their identity, contacting them, conducting and administering this Contest, publicity, marketing and advertising purposes (“Purposes”). Participants may choose not to provide this information. However, if Participant chooses not to provide this information, Chevron will not be able to consider the Participant for selection as a winner of the Contest.By joining the Contest, the Participant is deemed to have consented to the collection, use and disclosure of his/her personal data including his/her name, likeness and particulars such as mobile telephone numbers, email addresses, mainlining addresses) to be used for publicity, marketing and advertising purposes worldwide and whether related to the Contest or otherwise. Participant acknowledges that Chevron is authorized to process his/her personal data provided pursuant to the Contest in accordance with its data privacy policy. If the Participant has any questions in relation to the use and disclosure of his/her personal data or wishes to request access to and/or correction of his/her personal data, he/she may do so by writing in to https://www.caltex.com/sg/privacy-statement.html.

During the collection of Prizes, Participant acknowledges that his/her photos/ videos may be taken by or on behalf of Chevron. By entering this Contest, Participant is deemed to have consented to such photos and/or videos and to Chevron’s potential use or his/her image for marketing and publicity purposes. Participant further acknowledges that his/her image, likeness, actions and statements may be used in later transmissions, publications or reproductions of the prize collection on various media including but not limited to, print, audio-visual and social media, without further permissions and without compensation.

Chevron shall not be responsible or liable for any claim, loss or damage whatsoever arising out of or in connection with the Contests or the Prizes awarded.  To the extent permitted by applicable law, Participant agrees that Chevron will not be liable for any claim, loss or damage incurred or suffered by Participant resulting or in any way connected to Participant’s participation in the Contest.

Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. Chevron reserves the right to replace any prize with another of equivalent value without notice and accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize values. Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited after the delivery date notified, where applicable, and may be utilized for future marketing programs of Chevron. Chevron will take reasonable steps to advise and adhere to the actual collection/delivery date of Prizes, but will not be responsible for any delays. All ancillary costs, including delivery charges are the sole responsibility of the winner(s). All prizes/giveaways (“Items”) are promotional in nature and are gifts. To the fullest extent permitted by law, no representations or warranties, express or implied, are made by Chevron as to merchantability or fitness for use and no guarantees are given or implied in the quality, suitability, safety or performance of any Item (or any part of it). Chevron shall not be responsible or liable for any damage to property of any kind resulting (wholly or partially, directly or indirectly) from acceptance, possession or use of the Items or the quality, safety or fitness for use or suitability of the Items, or any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, and consequential damages whatsoever arising out of or connected with participation in the Contest or the use or misuse of the products given. Any complaints or disputes in respect of the quality, safety or fitness for use or suitability of the Items should be communicated directly to and resolved with the manufacturer and/or supplier of the relevant Items. The recipient of the Items is responsible for the proper and legal use of the Items and ensuring that all necessary licences and permits (if there are any) are obtained.

Chevron reserves the right to amend the Contest mechanics, terms and conditions or cancel the Contest at any time and in its sole discretion without any liability or prior notice to Participants.

Chevron’s decisions on all matters relating to the Contests shall be final and binding. Chevron will not enter into any correspondence or communication with any party in relation to such decisions.

These terms and conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore and Participant agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.

Each provision herein is severable and any determination of invalidity does not affect any other provision.

A person who is not a party to these terms and conditions has no rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any of these terms and conditions.

By taking part in the Contests, the Participant shall be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
