1. The CEC-F23-01 XUD-9 test demonstrates how Techron D performs in indirect injection engines. Indirect injection technology is dominant in older diesel engines. The test is run on an engine in a lab under controlled conditions using exactly the same fuel to measure the results with and without Techron D and comparing results to determine how much difference the addition of Techron D can make to keeping injectors clean. The XUD-9 test puts an engine under high stress and create conditions that will block the injectors, so it can test how well the fuel will keep the injectors clean. At the end of the test period the injectors are taken out and the flow is measured.

2. ASTM D655A is a standard test to determine how effective an additive is at protecting an engine from rust.

3. Tested fuel economy on the Millbrook London Transport Bus using a large vehicle dynamometer. Measured the fuel consumption at the start of the test. And comparing after 3 months of use, which showed improved fuel economy as a result of cleaning fuel injector deposits after switching to Caltex Diesel + Techron D.
