Hong Kong, China, 29 November 2025 – Chevron today announced a HK$1 million donation from the Chevron Global Community Fund to the International Committee of the Red Cross to support the Tai Po fire emergency appeal in Hong Kong. The donation will assist the Hong Kong Red Cross to provide emergency relief to victims of the fire.

“We are committed to supporting the communities where we operate, particularly in times of need,” said James Wong, Director of Chevron Hong Kong Limited. “We have been part of the energy landscape in Hong Kong for almost 90 years and our thoughts are with the families impacted by this tragedy, and the emergency services personnel responding to it.”

Over the years, we have proudly partnered with a variety of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to support meaningful initiatives that uplift and empower those around us. From providing essential resources during COVID to supporting long-term development programs for children from underprivileged families, our efforts reflect our deep commitment to making a positive impact.

Working in partnership with the Hong Kong Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association, we launched the “Fuel Your School” project in 2015 where financial assistance was provided to local schools for the implementation of STEM learning programs for underprivileged students. Teachers and schools were encouraged to submit learning programs or proposals most suitable for their students’ needs. Over the 6 years, Chevron has funded 44 school projects through this program.

We always encourage our colleagues to give back to the community. Various volunteering opportunities are arranged for colleagues to participate over the years. Some of the NGO activities that we have worked with include:

1. Bo Foundation’s “Food Angel” to prepare and serve dinners to those in need in the Sham Shui Po area;
2. “Hong Kong Dog Rescue” and “Kelly’s Dog Shelter” to help abandoned animals;
3. “The Salvation Army” for Covid supplies donation and clothing drive;
4. “International Coastal Clean-up” to remove garbage along the beaches in the Tuen Mun and Stanley area.
