Caltex rewarded nine customers under its Plus! loyalty program with a million LinkPoints

SINGAPORE, July 18, 2017 – It was a dream come true for nine, new and regular, Caltex customers as they emerged as winners of the weekly Plus! Millionaire Draw promotion, walking away with 1,000,000 LinkPoints in their Plus! accounts.

All it took to land these nine winners their LinkPoints windfall was a payment transaction at any Caltex service station with their Plus! cards. Mr. Leow Ah Swee, one of the nine winners of the draw said, “I had the biggest surprise when I received the prize letter in my mailbox.” As a frequent customer of Caltex, Mr. Leow shared that he enjoyed the convenience of being able to pay for his fuel expenses and earn LinkPoints with his Plus! card at Caltex.

Believe it or not, the one million LinkPoints earned from the Plus! Millionaire Draw could buy an average Singaporean 44 weeks’ worth of groceries; 20 years' worth of car washes; a year's worth of free fuel; a grand vacation of your choice; a lifetime supply of your favorite lipstick brand or pharmacy supplements; or a new range of home appliances to furnish your home.

With over 1.9 million members across the nation, Plus! is the largest and one of the most successful consumer loyalty programs in Singapore, delivering value and savings to members through the earning of LinkPoints and other attractive rewards. As part of Caltex’s first anniversary under the program, it has launched the Plus! Millionaire Draw to reward Caltex customers, old and new, with more than just quality fuel, but also a chance to win a coup of 1,000,000 LinkPoints.

Understanding that Singaporeans are always on the lookout for ways to add value to their purchases, Caltex believes that its partnership with Plus! will amply reward customers for their loyalty, as well as attract more customers to its service stations. This could be seen by the increase in the number of new customer acquisitions, of 6% in March and 11% in April during the promotion period.

The prize perk gives our motorists greater flexibility in personalizing their reward through the Plus! Under the Plus! loyalty program, motorists earn 3 LinkPoints for every liter of fuel purchased at Caltex.  Accumulated LinkPoints can then be used as an instant rebate to offset lifestyle expenses. Depending on the customer’s lifestyle needs and requirements, such expenses may include daily necessities such as groceries, dining, and fuel savings, or even non-essentials such as electronics, beauty and health supplements, or even retail.

The Plus! Millionaire Draw at Caltex was held from March 1 to April 30, 2017, during which Caltex saw increased fuel purchases from both new customers as well as existing Plus! customers. A total of 9 winners were announced, with the winning LinkPoints credited to each winner’s Plus! account following receipt of official SMS notification.
