Caltex™ wins at prestigious Putra Brand Awards 2011

KUALA LUMPUR, March 11, 2011 – Caltex™, the retail brand of Chevron Malaysia Limited (“Chevron”), today won the Bronze at the prestigious Putra Brand Awards 2011.

Caltex™ received the award in recognition of its brand strength in the category of Automotive -Fuels. The award was presented by Datuk Johnny Mun,  2011 Putra Brand Awards Chairman at a gala ceremony held here.

Chevron Malaysia Limited operates under its retail brand, Caltex™, which has been offering Malaysians with high quality products and services for more than 70 years through more than 400 Caltex™ service stations.

Under the royal patronage of Selangor’s HRH Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, the Putra Brand Awards 2011 is a brand recognition and evaluation exercise organized annually by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies (4A), in association with Malaysia’s Most Valuable Brands (MMVB). It is endorsed by the Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and is supported by the Branding Association of Malaysia (BAM), the Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA), and the Media Specialists Association (MSA).

About 6,000 consumers were polled utilizing a robust consumer research methodology developed by Pulse Group, to select Malaysia’s favourite brands in 20 categories, with each category being awarded Gold, Silver, Bronze and Special Merit Awards for the most preferred brands.
