Terms & Conditions

1. When a participant submits a photograph in response to this Contest (each a “Work”), he or she shall be deemed to have unconditionally consented to the terms and conditions set out herein.
2. The participant will be required to grant to Chevron an exclusive perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right and licence to use the Work that is selected as one of the winning entries in this Contest (the “Winning Entry”).
3. For the avoidance of doubt , Chevron shall have the exclusive right to:
   1. reproduce the Winning Entry in any manner or form and circulate such Winning Entry to any person in connection with the Contest, without compensation ; and
   2. use, copy, publish, print, transmit, and distribute the Winning Entry in any manner, whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes, as may be determined by Chevron without the prior consent of the photographers or owners of the Works and without any compensation whatsoever.
4. Chevron shall attribute the ownership of the Winning Entries wherever possible and appropriate.
5. Each participant warrants that:
   1. all Works are original works of the participant and the participant is the sole photographer and creator of the Works; and
   2. it was the sole legal and beneficial owner of the copyright in the Works immediately , and is fully entitled to grant to Chevro an exclusive licence to use any such Work if such Work is selected ( for more details, see the Contest Form);
   3. there are no third parties with any claims over the Works as licensee, assignee, charge or otherwise.
6. All contestants must agree to abide by these Contest Rules and agree to do such other things as may be reasonably requested by Chevron in connection with this Contest, failing which their Works shall not qualify for the Contest.

8. “Chevron” means “Chevron International Pte Ltd” in Singapore. This Contest and any dispute arising out of it shall be governed by Singapore laws.
9. Where the guidelines and rules are found not to have been observed, the organizers retain the right to disqualify any award made and to seek the return of prizes given, and reserve the right to seek compensation.
