The crippling effects that HIV/AIDS is having on all population groups is of major concern to the future well-being of SA and the African region. As part of its Corporate Social Investment programme Chevron South Africa has embarked on an HIV/AIDS awareness initiative that is supported by the petroleum industry in South Africa. It includes a toolkit designed to assist retailers in running a “know your status” campaign at their service stations and to enable them to manage the business risk associated with the disease.
