Chevron, under the previous corporate name of Caltex Oil South Africa, the company has for years enjoyed a long and proud association with Junior Achievement South Africa. Over this time, the company has invested in programmes aimed at imparting business and entrepreneurial skills to learners from all walks of life. More recently the company sponsored the Mini Enterprise Programme (MEP). This is an internationally recognised youth programme involving learners in Grades 8 to 11. The purpose of the course is to provide learners with an understanding of business and enterprise through practical learning experiences.
