Community Partnership

A part of the community

Chevron Philippines Inc. the company behind the Caltex brand, has committed to making social investments in our host communities to address pressing socio-economic issues. This helps us build a deeper relationship and greater trust with the communities where we operate.

Several of Chevron’s social investments programs in the Philippines have received various local and international awards for community relations. Together with our partners, we support programs that address human needs, enhance education, protect the environment, and help small businesses.

Caltex Energy for Learning®

At Chevron, we believe that education plays a vital role in the economic growth and wellbeing of the communities in which we work. This is why the majority of our community partnerships are focused on education, such as Energy for Learning (EFL) - a long-term initiative by Chevron and Caltex. We are constantly looking for ways to help youths who may not have the opportunity to benefit from a mainstream education. Through EFL, we support programs that help people acquire new knowledge and skills, and teach them to think differently.

Metro Weather

Metro Weather

In support of the environment, we sponsor Automated Weather System (AWS) units around Metro Manila to collect and store weather data. Besides providing real-time weather information, these units also show the intensity of the rainfall, which can indicate when it will flood. The AWS units are also integrated with the MMDA Traffic Mobile App and can be accessed at http://panahon.observatory.ph/

Apply for a sponsorship or community partnership

At Caltex, we believe we have an important role to play in contributing to improve the quality of life in our local communities. Our Social Investment programs contribute to areas identified by the local community as having the most need. Education is our key focus as improving instruction in the key subjects of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and on helping provide the career and technical training that can lead to good-paying jobs. If people and communities are to thrive, nothing is more important than education and job training. That's why Caltex invests in schools and teachers.

We prefer to undertake long-term partnerships rather than short-term sponsorships. If you meet our eligibility criteria, you may submit proposals to cpi-pgpa@chevron.com.
