Company Profile:	Caltex was among the first international oil companies to set up retail outlets in China. The first Caltex service station started operations in Shenzhen in 1982. Caltex has grown a network of 43 retail outlets throughout Guangdong in various cities of the Pearl River Delta. Most of the outlets provide 24-hour service and are equipped with convenience stores. Caltex also has sales and marketing as well as manufacturing and distribution operations throughout China in the major cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Tianjin and Hong Kong. Caltex Havoline®, Delo®, and Revtex® range of engine oils and Extended Life Coolants are among the best-selling lubricants and specialty products in their class. They are widely used as factory fill and after-market products by automotive and original equipment manufacturers. Caltex has also built a world-class liquefied petroleum gas terminal at Shantou in Guangdong province. The terminal is China’s first and second largest underground LPG terminal with two 100,000 cubic meter capacity underground storage caverns, as well as three berths for loading and unloading LPG. Caltex has been engaging in China’s asphalt market since 1994. The company has an asphalt terminal in Lanshan, Rizhao City of Shandong Province. This asphalt terminal could handle some 200,000 metric tones per year. Caltex’s high quality asphalt products are widely used in highway and road construction work in many provinces.
