Caltex provides a broad range of residual fuels for marine, industrial and large central heating applications. These fuels are designed to meet the needs of specific heating applications in large slow-speed diesel generating sets.
Caltex Fuel Oils can also be used in medium-speed diesel engines where fuel handling systems and appropriate engine designs have been made to accommodate the burning of residual fuel oils. Lighter grade oils do not require preheating, unlike the heavier grades, which may require preheating for burning and handling, depending on climatic conditions. The very heavy grade oils all require preheating for burning and handling. |
